Following its releases of 1954 and 1958 respectively, Brother John Sellers Sings Blues and Folk Songs was released in Britain on the Fontana label (TFL 6005) and again, the sleeve carried a cropped version of the Charles White drawing. The Fontana sleeve (unlike the 1958 release) carried no references to White. The still uncredited sleeve notes were largely similar those that had been used on the 1958 Vanguard release, though a reference to trumpeter Ruby Braff guesting on one of the tracks, had been added. The fifteen tracks on the Fontana release were the same as those on the 1958 Vanguard release.
